Database Administrator

NIACRO delivers a wide range of programmes, all with the aim of reducing crime and its impact on people and communities.  With a diverse portfolio of projects and funders  including Government Departments, statutory agencies and private trust funds.  NIACRO has established practices for identifying, measuring and reporting on the impact of each of our services.

We are in the process of developing a new database and seek to recruit a Database Administrator to be a central point of contact for the database contractor in the development phase and beyond, provide the administration support required to maintain the database and support the organisation’s project staff to collect and analyse data.  The post holder will also be required to contribute to the delivery of other elements of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.

Essential Criteria: 
  • Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent) in Business Administration, IT or related discipline.
  • One to two year’s experience of providing IT support including maintaining databases. (within the last 5 years)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with particular ability to analyse data and maintain accurate records.

Salary: 
Grade 3 £20,138 - £22,658 pro rata

Belfast
Hours: 
35 hours per week – some flexibility of hours/days or work may be required.
Duration: 
Initially March 2018
Pension: 
NIACRO operates a Group Personal Pension Scheme with up to a 9% employer contribution.

Access NI: 
This post requires that a check must be carried out under the requirements of ACCESS NI enhanced disclosure. This will involve a full criminal records check which will show spent and unspent convictions, cautions, cases pending or any other relevant information.
